Maraki can produce in three different textures:
  • soft and light texture for all year and summer scarves (in natural off-white and bleached bright white fibers)
  • middle dense texture for all year scarves and gabis (in natural off-white fibers)
  • heavy weight texture for winter scarves and gabis (in natural off-white fibers)

Scarves

Kidus

This soft and very light in texture scarf is produced by combining white warp threads with coloured weft threads. The weft alternates between thick and thin thread, creating horizontal stripes through the change of texture.

Hawassa

Hawassa scarves are produced by combining white warp threads with weft of two different colours. The texture is soft and light and the design consists in alternating coloured horizontal stripes with intricate Ethiopian traditional Tibeb patterns.

Ras

 
Ras is a soft summer scarf, produced by combining same colour warp and weft threads. Horizontal stripes mark the ends of the scarf in a play of thick and thin texture, an interpretation of the traditional Tibeb ending.

Bole

 
Bole scarves are produced by combining same colour warp and weft with white horizontal stripes of different thickness. The texture is soft and light. The ends are marked by contrasting colour, giving this summer scarf a very modern twist.

Jano

Jano scarves are winter scarves made by alternating white and coloured warp threads of thin cotton with white thicker weft threads.

These summer scarves are easily recognizable by their checker patterns made by alternating white and coloured warp threads with white and coloured weft threads.

Meskel

 
Meskel is an elegant and light summer scarf and the result of a very skillful play of horizontal stripes of different proportions, produced by combining white colour warp threads and weft threads of white, grey and a warm vibrant colour.

Gabis

The gabi is a traditional Ethiopian dressing element, a large and heavy wrap used by both women and men to keep warm during chilly nights and cold days of the rainy season. It is traditionally white and it is made of multiple panels of thick cotton texture, sewn together. Gabis can be decorated on the edges with beautiful bands of multicolored Jacquard patterns – a traditional detail called Tibeb. The gabi can also be used as a blanket or bed cover and in modern versions it has various colours and patterns.
